Chief Operating Officer
James Pinckney has more than 20 years of experience in the information
technology industry encompassing executive management, sales, business
strategy & planning, project management, consulting, and software
development. He has extensive experience helping customers leverage technology
to achieve their business objectives. James holds a bachelor’s degree
in Computer Science from the University of South Carolina and attended
an Executive MBA Program at the University of Michigan.
Prior to becoming Chief Operating Officer of Diamond Private Physicians,
James served in executive positions most recently at Lenovo and Microsoft
Corporation. At Lenovo, James was Vice President of North America Transaction
Business, responsible for a $1 billion revenue generation business unit
that delivered product marketing and channel marketing expertise to drive
sales overall including strategy and execution.
This business unit focused on the SMB and Consumer market segment to increase
revenue and profitability for Lenovo and its business partners. James
last position at Microsoft Corporation was as Vice President World-Wide
Field Sales, OEM Division. He led a sales and business development team
responsible for software sales with local OEM partners around the world.
He joined Microsoft in November 1999 also serving in a number of General
Manager positions including Emerging Markets Business Development, Sales
Business Planning & Operations, Software Services & Consulting
Sales and Delivery. Additionally, James served in significant roles across
several major corporations.
With Sabre, Inc., James S. Pinckney COO Diamond Private Physicians he was
Vice President of Airlines Solutions responsible for sales and the delivery
of consulting & professional services to regional airlines in the
US, Canada and Latin America. Prior to Sabre, he spent six years with
Hitachi Data Systems and his last position there was Central Region, Vice
President Product Services and Support. He was responsible for software
and hardware consulting and support services to Fortune 500 companies.
James enjoys golfing, tennis and spending time with his inspiring wife,
JoElla. He has two adult sons, eldest Dr. James II and youngest Jeremy,
who is an international tax lawyer for KPMG.
