Liza Schlitt has 10 years of public relations, media outreach, event planning,
sponsorship management and new business development experience. Liza spent
more than 8 years in a public relations agency where she managed and executed
global marketing campaigns for clients such as American Airlines, U.S.
Army, RadioShack and ExxonMobil. She supported the U.S. Army national
grassroots and influencer engagement program managing their efforts to
reach community advocates by building a database of thousands of community
influencers, training hundreds of Army personnel, engaging influencers
in workshop events, and launching a social networking platform to foster
collaboration across U.S. Army commands.
Liza also supported global PR and marketing campaigns for the world’s
largest airline, American Airlines. Liza worked on several American Airlines
teams including sports and entertainment sponsorships, consumer travel,
diversity and international. Liza managed top-dollar sponsorships such
as the Dallas Mavericks and Stars, assisted in international route launches
to China and India, executed the AAdvantage program’s 25th anniversary
celebration, and supported travel deals and marketing efforts through
local and national top-tier media relations landing placements in USA
Today, Food & Wine and The New Yorker.
Liza has also supported multicultural PR and grassroots campaigns targeting
the U.S. Hispanic demographic for clients including Brinker, CVS/pharmacy,
Verizon Wireless, General Motors and Pfizer generating media placements
within major Hispanic media outlets including Univision, Telemundo, El
Heraldo and Chicago Deportivo. Liza is thrilled to be a part of the Diamond
team as the day-to-day public relations contact providing strategic idea
development, media relations, event execution, general brand development
and story mining. Liza received her B.A. in Journalism and Communications
from the University of Florida. She enjoys tennis, yoga and running after
her two toddler boys.
